What was the first anime you saw?
I think it has been Attack No. 1 (on ORF) or Ganbare, Kickers! That was in cca 1994.

well the first anime was DBZ back on toonami when it was still good...

the first anime i saw all the way through and downloaded to my computer was Grenadier. hence why ive seen it like 6 times by now lol. awesome series.

i watched Heidi as a kid.. but i had no idea it was anime.. or even what anime was for that matter.

then only a couple of years ago i was introduced to Get Backers .. ;p and have been an addict ever since.

Like many people, mines was 'technically' DBZ, although I didn't even know what the word anime meant at the time. The first series I watched fully intent on watching anime, (and in subs) was Full Metal Alchemist (Quite a start, eh). Jolted me into the otaku life, it did.

Mine was Heidi, but I found out it was anime about 4 years ago, so the first anime I watched while knowing that it was anime, was Hellsing ( on a german tv channel in german )
