I made a large number of wallpaper uploads (100 +) to the Pokemon section a couple weeks ago and I haven't seen them added to the gallery. There wasn't any problem uploading and I know they were validated cause they were in the queue and after a few days they weren't. Was something wrong with them? Took me a long time to upload those....

PS: Do the moderators change photo names? And if so why would they do that unless the name is wrong or inappropriate? The first set of wallpapers I uploaded were Yu-Gi-Oh! ones but when they were added the names were totally different (not to mention rather cheesy...

Uploading takes awhile because the mods and admin are not logged in. They are the only ones that can validate and reject images and they can rename the images too. Read this for more info:

The main reason for rejection when it comes to wallpapers is quality, so unless it's horrendously low, that shouldn't happen. We usually just move it to another category then.
Another possible reason could be an obtrusive web site address, but you don't get too often..

Can you give one or two examples of the wallpapers that didn't get validated?

Serenade, titles are changed if they are the same as the series name. So if you upload a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh! images and title is YuGiOh, they will get changed, to whatever the mod comes up with. Since we have tons of images to validate, the names are usually the characters that show up, or something quick. If you don't like the titles, you are more than welcome to let us know and I can manually change them to something better (as long as they are your images).

Thanks for the responses. IGC, those wallpapers there are a small batch I uploaded first along with the YGO ones. After that I uploaded my main set of 100+ which include many JP version ones. Most of them are 1280x1024 in size and all are very good quality. I don't recall them having any having web addresses that were obtrusive. In the case of Pokémon, the logo is almost always on the front (top) of the image and if it has a web reference thats usually put at the bottom in small writing and doesn't get in the way of the art. The YGO ones weren't named after the series; they were from vjump so I named them after vjump and the month they came out.

Charlie, a lot of them were movie wallpapers, both English and Japanese versions. Examples would be Wishing Star Jirachi and Revelation Lugia. Others were special video game wallpapers like the Pokémon Emerald series and recent JP Platinum ones featuring Giratina.

Guess I should also note that the last of those YGO wallpapers never went through either. All the others were added but that one wasn't. It was the most recent YGO 5D's one featuring Yusei Fudo, Jack Atlas and Crow. It did have a date on it though so I guess it should be considered a calendar instead of wallpaper. I recently got a non-dated version.

i know it can be a bitch at times (with that haunting 503 error), but would you mind terribly reuploading? I'll try and look for them.

The thing is that I never got any error message saying there was a problem uploading. I got the message saying my upload was successful and I even saw my tally being added to the number in the waiting queue. If it turns out that they were somehow lost I'll try re-uploading but as I said that took a long time....

I've got a question as well:

I uploaded about 20-25 wallpapers which is worth a good 200 points at the least (12 each), but I didnt get any points what so ever. So what happened?
