I hate it when the hero gets bitten to death, and only on the last second he gathers up the strength to beat the crap out of the bad guy...

For once, I would like to see the good guy destroy the bad guy, the fight to be close throughout, or the good guy to loose...

Also, and this is not related to just anime: The bad guy instead of freaking killing the good guy when he has the chance, he proceeds to give this long speech that the good guy or his friends use to find and prepare the perfect counterattack.

Well, it's a well-known fact that shonen genre animes have alway got the beat hero down -> hero gets stronger -> hero wins formala.
Then we have the guy -> girl transfestites that have the "ooo la la" attitude and rectangular faces. Must be a hate crime. (although, it's a grey subject with me.)

@IGC: Yep... just put a friggin bullet in the head instead of giving us the life story of a complete wack job.

Oh, but that icing on the cake are the continuous flashback scenes in every breaking-point for the hero. We get it! Naruto likes Sasuke!!!

Or when the character is told that they have a great power within them that can save the world. You almost never see a character on the good side corrupted by that power. Or those bad character cliches like Tough female is usually a slut or hates men. Or Little annoying boy characters that have to follow the main hero and are almost worthless in battle and in dialogue.

Or the guy that moves to a new house or a campus on a university and finds out all his roommates are girls......

Then we have Kenji Harama... Tough guy turned into a "wimp." I cant mock him too much though, I'm no better.
Besides, School Rumble wasn't really harem.... *Walks away confusing himself*

How does everyone feel about the "Magical Girl" transformation sequences, I.E. Sailor Moon. The ones in Digimon were a little much though...

Kenji Harama is one of the more unique characters I have seen in a while in that genre even its not technically harem as you said. It is just me or have those sequences become more intricately long and almost ecchi at times over the years. .......shudders.....
