This has been something that I wanted to add a long time ago, and it is finally here.
For now only the most basic buttons have been added, bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, url links, image links and quotes.
If you click on one of the buttons, the corresponding BBCode tag will be added to the post. If you have some text highlighted, the tags will be position around the highlight, so it makes it a lot easier to add. If you highlight some text and click on the URL button, the script will assume that the highlighted text is what you want to use for the links text, but you will still need to add the URL in the right place.
Let me know if you have any problems with these while using them.
In the future I might add some smilies to the side, or some other BBCode elements... and I will be adding the buttons to all other sections of the site, including image comments, blogs and news comments.
Since this is a javascript addition, any change to the javascript will automatically propagate to all elements using it, so that makes changes a lot easier.
