I think i will speak for all Moderators.
Please everyone, if uplouding a image hold you on the Upload Guidelines. Make sure when you uploud image it go to the right category (wallpapers, artbooks...), serie and if possible give "proper" name to the image.
I know sometime make everyone mistake (i'm not exception ), but when you will uploud with more attention it will make validate process swifter and more easily.

What I do, if there are a bunch of images from the same user that are obviously on the wrong category and they are not AWESOME, I just don't bother changing everything to the right place and simply reject them...
They are not completely deleted, so if you think they are worth while having, we can always recover them.

Thanks for being the first Moderator to say the Truth, the More one pays attention to their uploads and the Guidelines. It makes the Validating Process Much More Easier and Faster!!!

ya i know how much of a pain it is to validate images so i try to do what i can to make it quicker...

and werent we talking about a modification to the upload module that would not allow you to upload an image that has the same name and series name? so we can stop that problem before the image is uploaded?

I also agree that Gabriel is a perfect uploader. No changes needed while validating Gabe's images.
And I dont think i'm doing a good job cuz i've recently noticed some mistakes i made while uploading and I believe Nujin was the one who validated... So sorry for the trouble mate. I seriously didn't know the correct series name. Sorry again to all Mods I know how irritating it is.

I'll try to be as perfect as Gabriel next time. lol

We talked about it but it might throw off some users that just want to upload... We might want to discuss it here, and if we decide that we want it I can add it. My concern is if people would stop uploading because of it? vs. Do we really want the images from those users that will stop uploading in that case?

Aaaa i dont know. Some time when i uploud a image i can't think up good name and hope you can do it folks . I think it is better have name same as the serie than sothing like 123, asdwca, 4mrmjd4 or another stupidity

i dont think we will see a drop in uploads. like you said, if people will stop uploading for that reason alone then they arent as dedicated as we are and wont be really noticed as a mass contributor to the site

ran some numbers a while back,

we have 11,500 some registered members.

take the top 10 uploaders and we have 16,000+ uploads between them. thats half the site right there.

take the top 20, 64% of the sites images.

point being those who upload alot wont be effected by this, and as we can see, most of the sites images will continue to be uploaded by these 20 people.

and as for the site growing, if a new member registers and wants to upload 1000 images then they will just learn the rules set down before them and upload those images. no problems. i dont think we get enough images from people who dont read the forums to warrant concern for the sites growth. and this is all assuming that this change will cause people to stop uploading when in fact they will probably just be like "o ya" and continue uploading like normal.

(and if they do stop uploading then maybe we can keep that queue below 1k images lol)
