I uploaded some dvd covers, there were no others like them uploaded and they were of size..
im just wondering why they got rejected ?

Only IGC can answer you that cuz Only he can validate/reject DvD covers and Calenders.

My guess is low resolution or low quality.

They werent bad though, is there a specific resolution they should be?
or something to tell me how i could fix the quality of them ?

taken from the FAQ on upload guidlines...

Only Complete DvD covers or labels should be uploaded as DvD Covers
Scans of the front of the cover or inlays, should be uploaded as Artbooks/Scans
Only covers with FRONT/SIDE/BACK will be validated.

DvD Covers should be AT LEAST 1000 pixels high
This is the bare minimum requirement to be considered.
Anything below that will be too low for quality printing.

As they said, and as 2+2=5 pointed out, the 1000px height requirement is the minimum, just to allow the cover to be uploaded to the covers section. That does not mean that any cover over 1000px will be validated.

I usually view them full size, and see if the lettering is sharp, if it is too blurry I discard them.

That's weird though.... The system records rejections, and saves the images so we can re-review them, like in your case, when users bring up questions about the rejection. However, from the over 5000 rejections we have in the database, none is yours. And there are no images by you on the queue either... so I have no idea where they went!

Could you re-upload the covers please? And let me know when you do so I can check and make sure that they are there and take a look at them.

btw IGC can you in Validating process add reject for reason: "Fail" or something like that?
Because when is there a image whit wrong Series+Name+Category... or another combination i have not the nerves to change it when it is some Other (800x600 from some visual novel)

Something like that is needed..

When something like that happens, use "Low Quality" as the reason for the rejection.
It really is due to low quality of the upload that we are not going to bother in fixing the issues. If it were an awesome wallpaper we might go through the trouble, but for a low resolution image, you better have all the information straight, or we are going to reject it due to the low quality of the upload (which includes information provided and categorization).
