Hello everyone,

I was alerted by Gabriel that something had happened to the ratings on the site. After looking into the issue, I found out that a single user (which I will not mentioned as of now), has voted on almost ALL of the images (11,945 votes).
The votes do not seem to be automated, as they vary, but MOST of them are 1 (one) or 2 (two) grades, which has resulted in a lowered average for most images, and specially users with a lot of uploads.
The site has almost 17,000 votes total, which means that a bit over 70% of the votes are by a single user, with very low ratings.

Also, the same user has over 20,000 downloads (in just 2 days), so I have sent him an email to find out why did he need to download ALL our images, repeated times and vote on all of them, with particularly lower scores.

Depending on the reply I get, if I get any, I will decide what to do with the ratings.

The possible outcomes are as follows:

1. Delete all the votes by the user, which will restore the system to a normal state.

2. Allow the votes and wait for the system to normalize itself with time. After all, if enough users were to vote on the site, a single user should have very little impact on the final score.

I just wanted to keep you notified, and also use this as an opportunity to ask for more voting, comments and interaction with the site.
I know that we do not have forums (yet) and the blogs are only available for alpha testers, but that should not prevent you from leaving feedback on the images.

I received a reply from the above mentioned user, and given all the facts I have decided to delete all those votes and repair the ratings for the images.

This should be fixed by now, but let me know if you see any strange behavior, or anything that seems out of place in the ratings for images and users.
