Back from my vacation 2008-06-09 - 13:13:47
As you probably noticed, this last couple of weeks the site has not been updated as frequently as usual, this was because I was on vacation for 2 weeks on Spain. I was going to put a news post before leaving, but I thought I was going to be able to update a couple of times while away, but unfortunately that did not happen. Now that I'm back we will recover the update process and as you can see there are some new images on the site... In fact we have a queue of over 300 images to be validated, so you will see around 10/20 new images a day for a while (maybe more if the more uploads keep coming at this rate). On other news, we are getting closer and closer to being able to release the new site to the public. As far as I can recall right now, we only have the tagging system and an update to the user profiles left before the release. After that, we would start working on the forums and probably an moderator control panel so I can get some people to help out with managing the site. It is getting to a point where it is hard for me to validate so many images, look at all the emails, comments and even less when we release the forums... But I will keep you updated with all these, since the site is just my hobby (at least at the moment) and my full-time job doesn't allow me to get things done as fast as I would like. Maybe some day, if the site gets big enough I could just dedicate to the site... but that might sound too good to be true	Comments (7) Viewed 746 times

wow.. its been a while ;p

on the Gallery page, where you choose what to browse and such..

"Last 5 additions" - escape character is visible when the title includes an apostrophe. (eg. It\'s not cold...)

I will try to fix that... the damn apostrophes are driving me crazy with the site.
Since I used a pre-built gallery system for the backbone, they handled the scape characters in a particular way, and sometimes they still show up here and there.

welcome back hope you have a great vacation, i wish i could go to spain for a few weeks lol >.>

i feel like im stating the obvious but w/e. in order to lower the load on yourself i would have to suggest "hiring" a few other admins to help you manage the site if its really bogging you down from your own life and work. i mean, i know this is on your list, but maybe move it higher towards the top of your list.

It is high up on the list.
And it really is not that it is taking away from my life or work, I would like help so the site has more frequent updates.
Right now, there are only a few things before the "admin" interface, and those are:
1. Finishing the last couple of things before release of the site
2. Release the site
3. Forum
4. Admin system

I might change the order of the last 2, but I really want to add a forum so users can get more involved.
We have a pretty nice involvement with uploads, but it seems that until users are able to use a forum and get to know other users, they don't really get into the site and start using all the features (comments, ratings, blogs...)

Thx man and no i doesn'ts abandon the web its just when i move to the cuntry i don't has Internet around to 3 Months >.< jajaja is for that reason thet i desapear for long time jajaa
